A rare Iron Age artefact discovered near Didcot will go on display this weekend.

Woodstock’s Oxfordshire Museum raised £33,000 in September to keep the bronze mirror in the county.

The mirror is believed to date back to the first century BC. It was found by a metal detector enthusiast and sold to an anonymous bidder outside the UK. But the Oxfordshire Museums Service raised funds to keep it after a temporary export bar by the Government.

It will now go on display for the first time on Saturday at Cornerstone Art Centre, Station Road, Didcot.
