TWO Iranian men have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.
Thames Valley Police officers were called to the Hithercroft estate on Monday morning and made the arrests. The force refused to comment, saying the investigation was being led by the Home Office.
Home Office spokeswoman Catherine Ellis said: “Home Office Immigration Enforcement was contacted by Thames Valley Police on Monday morning after police attended an incident on an industrial estate in Wallingford.
“Police officers arrested two Iranian men on suspicion of immigration offences. The men are currently in immigration detention.”
