A CANCER sufferer has offered a “substantial financial reward” for anyone who can find her missing dog.

Sarah Lawrence from Didcot, returned home on Thursday, April 9, after two days of chemotherapy treatment to find her five-year-old Jack Russell Casha was missing.

Hundreds of pounds have been donated by well-wishers to a reward fund set up online to help find the dog, but the group has decided not to reveal the exact total.

The fund was set up by Lisa West, Oxfordshire administrator for the website doglost.co.uk, in her own time.

Miss Lawrence said: “They have been absolutely fantastic, helping me put posters out as well.”

The 25-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in January after doctors removed a tumour from her jaw and discovered it was caused by osteosarcoma.

The rare bone cancer is only diagnosed in about 530 people each year in the UK.

She said volunteers from doglost.co.uk had helped organise a search party when they heard of a possible sighting of Casha in Oxford, but it turned out not to be her.

Miss West, who lives in Abingdon, said: “I think the fact Sarah has cancer has tugged at everyone’s heart strings, and she is obviously missing Casha.”

Casha is microchipped but is not wearing a collar.
