Go for road scheme
OXON: Senior councillors approved £2.45m to go towards a new road at Wantage yesterday.
At a meeting of Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet in County Hall, New Road, Oxford, councillors released the cash to begin construction of the Wantage Eastern Link Road. It will connect the A338 at Mably Way roundabout with the A417 at the existing minor road to West Lockinge.
Councillors also approved £3.9m more for the county-wide Better Broadband scheme.
