A man in his early 20s robbed the Co-op store by using what is believed to have been a knife concealed in a sock.
Police said the man entered the store just before 7pm last Wednesday and threatened a member of staff with the weapon before tipping the contents of the till into his trousers.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident, which saw a “substantial amount” of money taken from the store on the high street.
Police said the man was wearing a black peaked beanie hat, a black scarf that covered his mouth and nose, a white T-shirt with short black sleeves and black trousers and bright blue trainers.
