DIDCOT Railway Centre was transformed into the Island of Sodor as Thomas the Tank Engine steamed into town.
The cheerful train’s friends Duck and Diesel accompanied him escorted by The Fat Controller who kept an eye on them throughout the day.
Visitors at the events on Saturday and Sunday were also treated to balloon modelling, a circus workshop and Thomas story readings.
The day began with Thomas trying to keep the Troublesome Trucks under control.
Jacob Richardson, aged two, from Chinnor and his cousin Eve from Hillingdon were among the youngsters who enjoyed watching Thomas’s adventures.
Jacob’s mum Sarah said: “We had never been to Didcot before but we went to see Thomas – that was the big attraction.
“Jacob is a big fan and Eve likes Thomas too.
“They watched Diesel playing with the Troublesome Trucks and had a couple of rides on Thomas and there were some other Thomas-themed attractions.
“We went to a Thomas day a few years ago and my husband was quite keen to take Jacob when he was old enough.”
Jacob said: “It was really good fun.
“We had a great time.”
