HUNDREDS of people donned their raincoats and wellies and packed out Braziers Park at the weekend to celebrate Wood Festival.

The green event, which featured live music, dance and crafts for all ages, ran across the weekend and saw visitors from all walks of life, despite the wet weather.

Organiser Robin Bennett said: "We had a sunny day on Sunday which made up for Saturday, which was good. It's all been very good considering the dampness. It didn't dampen the atmosphere.

"The turnout was pretty solid - I think we were very lucky. It's been a really good event.

"We had loads of different stuff going on, lots of families had a good time."

Wood Festival, hosted near Wallingford, included for this year activities such as build your own solar panel, an introduction to shamanic journeying, and other dance and meditation activities.

And for young 'Woodlings' the festival offered a tree top restaurant puppet show, and music from singer Nick Cope.

On the solar-powered, grass-roofed stage artists Sam Lee and Friends, Danny and the Champions of the World, and Emily Barker performed.
