A COMPANY which makes washable nappies has launched a collection of new designs for the summer.

Earthwise Trading Ltd manufactures, distributes and sells reusable nappies, and reusable menstrual products, to reduces waste, save families money and protect the environment.

The company run by Christine McRitchie, from Long Wittenham, near Didcot, makes the award-winning Wonderoos V3 nappies, and has now launched a series of playful summer prints.

The four new designs, entitled Teddy Bear Picnic, Ocean Life, Seashore and Happy Bugs, have now been added to the long-term design portfolio.

Mrs McRitchie, 44, lives with her husband Iain and their four daughters.

The director of Earthwise Trading said: "Our new range of summer prints are themed around popular childhood pursuits.

"The eye-catching designs will bring a little ray of sunshine to even the wettest summer day and should brighten up the winter months too.

"We worked with a local designer to discuss what we wanted and we think she has done a great job.

"We have had a lot of interest from stockists already and the new designs are selling well.

"We started out in Long Wittenham and then moved to a warehouse near Didcot but next month we will be moving back to a barn in the village."

The Wonderoos V3 nappy has been shortlisted in the Loved By Parents 2016 awards and has been awarded a gold Prima baby Award and gold Gentle Parenting award this year.

Last year Mrs McRitchie was crowned Britain’s Best Online Business as director of Earthwise Trading in the Venus Awards.

Earthwise Trading was launched in Mrs McRitchie's kitchen 12 years ago, and since then her business has kept over 7.5 million disposable nappies out of landfill.
