WORK to rebuild Wantage's "wonky wall" will begin at the end of September, council officers have now said.
Vale of White Horse District Council confirmed last week that works on the Wallingford Street wall will take about five weeks to complete.
That means the footpath, which has been closed since January 2014, should be reopen again in November.
The pavement was closed off after Vale council officers discovered the wall was at risk of falling into the road.
A long dispute over the ownership of the wall then followed, postponing the repair works for longer.
