Police launched a search for a man in Abingdon after fears were raised about his welfare.
The force sent officers to Crabtree Place in the town at about 6.25am on Tuesday, along with paramedics and fire fighters.
There was a large police presence near the town's Health and Wellbeing Centre in Audlett Drive throughout today.
An employee at Abingdon Health and Wellbeing Centre, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "There is something going on but I do not know what.
"Somebody came in and said police cars are outside but I have not seen any.
"We are open as normal."
