A MAN has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a three-year-old girl was killed on the A34 at Hinksey. 

Police said this morning that Thomas Hunter, 58, of Mansfield Road, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, was charged yesterday. 

He was arrested on August 25 this year on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He answered his bail yesterday and was re-arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and then charged.

The charges are in relation to a collision which occurred on August 25 on the A34, at Hinksey near Oxford.

Three-year-old Isla Wiggin was seriously injured in the incident and sadly died on August 27. 

A 31-year-old woman also sustained serious injuries in the incident.

Hunter has been released on bail to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on January 17.
