IT has been loved by generations of children – now it is asking them to show their love.
Wantage's Vale and Downland Museum has called on all supporters to vote for it in 'the biggest museum award in Britain'.
Presented by the Kids in Museum charity, the Family Friendly Museum Award champions one UK institution which goes above and beyond to help entertain, edify and educate young visitors and get them excited about museum.
Vale and Downland curator Suzie Tilbury said: "Often it's a big national museum that wins, but I'd really like our community to get behind us and nominate us, so we could at least be shortlisted alongside some of the big boys.
"Our staff and volunteers work so hard to ensure that what we do is family friendly that i would love us to be recognised for it."
Museum lovers can vote online at kidsinmuseums.org.uk until June 2.
