MOTORISTS faced long delays on the A34 northbound this afternoon following a pile-up involving three cars.
One lane was closed with queueing traffic due to the accident, which involved three cars at High Street (East Ilsley).
The vehicles have now been removed and congestion has eased.
Delays of up to an hour were reported and Thames Valley Police encouraged drivers to find an alternative route if possible.
The lane has now reopened, and police say a broken down car in the queue added to the problems.
Queues at one point stretched back to the M4.
