A PARISH council has hit out at apparent unfairness in the planning system.

West Hanney Parish Council lambasted the fact that housing developers often seem to get unlimited time to submit extra documents to accompany applications, but members of public and parish councils get a limited response time.

Writing in the latest edition of the Hanney News, the council said it was ‘extremely frustrating’, but also admitted it understood that district councils like Vale of White Horse needed to be seen to give developers every opportunity to put their case, as planning appeals can be extremely costly.

The council referred to an application for 35 homes on School Road.
