STAFF at a West Oxfordshire village post office were threatened with a knife during a robbery.
The crime took place at Minster Lovell Post Office on Friday between 9am and 9.30am.
County councillor Liam Walker, who represents the area, tweeted he had spoken with the owner and confirmed no one had been hurt.
He added the incident was: "Shocking and not something that usually happens in our area."
Extra police patrols will be taking place in the village, which is near Witney, over the weekend to reassure residents.
On Friday, police appealed for help tracing a man aged between 18 and 25 who may have information about the crime.
He was seen wearing a blue parka jacket with fur around the hood at the bus stop on Brize Norton Road. Call 101 with information.
