A 23-YEAR-OLD was punched repeatedly in the head in an attempted robbery near Aldi in Didcot.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident in Jubilee Way, which took place at around 3.45am on Sunday morning.

The victim was walking on the road near Aldi when he was approached by a man and woman.

The man demanded that the victim hand over his wallet, money and phone and then punched the victim two or three times to the head, causing bruising.

He did not take anything from the victim, who did not require hospital treatment.

The main attacker is described as a white man, in his late 20s, slim, with brown, medium length scruffy hair and a short scruffy beard.
