A HOUSEBUILDER has urged children not to play on building sites for their own safety.
Bloor Homes has revived its summer campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of entering and playing on building sites, ahead of the school holidays starting.
It circulated the warning in Oxfordshire in relation to its housing development The Dovecote in Drayton, near Abingdon, which is still under construction.
Construction director Carl Slater said: "Whilst the number of children killed or injured on UK construction sites continues to fall, there is no room for complacency.
"Whilst we always ensure that all of our construction areas are fenced off with the correct warning signs in place, we still want to make sure that children understand the dangers and can enjoy their summer holidays without risk of injury.”
The housebuilder released a similar warning in early summer last year.
