A SCHOOL celebrating its 50th birthday hopes a generous raffle donation will drum up support for a fundraiser.
John Blandy Primary School in Southmoor, between Abingdon and Faringdon, has received an iPad mini from Bloor Homes.
The developer, which is building its Kingston Park estate nearby, donated the prize for a raffle at the school's Golden Glitter Ball next month.
Proceeds from the ball, organised by the Friends of John Blandy School, will help to pay for new outdoor play equipment.
It takes place at Southmoor Village Hall on the evening of Friday, July 13, featuring live music and a hog roast.
Tickets cost £15 including Prosecco - for details email johnblandyfriends@gmail.com.
