Homes were left without power in OX12
HUNDREDS of people were left without electricity after a power cut in and around Wantage.
SSEN said about 50 postcodes in the OX12 area were affected this afternoon.
The power cut was first reported at about 1.30pm and lasted until 4pm.
The power company apologised for the inconvenience and blamed a 'fault'.
Meanwhile in East Oxford, works are continuing in Magdalen Road after a power cut on Tuesday affecting 33 homes and businesses.
SSEN had to dig up part of the roadside to successfully restore power, but anticipates the roadworks could last until Tuesday.
