A MASSIVE fallen tree brought down telephone cables and blocked a road in South Oxfordshire.
Thames Valley Police tweeted the picture of the incident on Sunday evening and urged drivers to find alternative routes.
The tree came down, officers said, on the 'main road from Kingston Blount [near Thame and Chinnor] to Stokenchurch'.
This is understood to be Kingston Hill.
The force said the road was entirely closed and also warned that telephone cables were down as a result.
Officers said at 5pm they were working to get the road re-opened but urged drivers to find alternative routes until then.

The road was eventually reopened by 7pm on Sunday.
The tree collapse follows a number of other massive tree falls across Oxfordshire.
Last month a huge conker tree in North Hinksey, thought to be hundreds of years old, collapsed across the main road in the village and was chainsawed up the same day.
Just days later Risinghurst Parish Council decided to cut down a mighty oak because it said it had been poisoned.
