VISITORS to beauty spots in South Oxfordshire have been warned after a spate of break ins at nearby car parks.
Vehicles parked at Chinnor, Lewknor, Watlington and Cowleaze Wood all had items taken from them over the weekend.
It comes after police revealed last week they were stepping up patrols at Wantage and Faringdon beauty spots following four cars being smashed into on August 24.
Items stolen included cash, a jacket and a picnic basket.
In the latest incidents police said a silver Peugeot was seen at one of the locations and is believed to have stolen plates fitted.
Anyone who may have seen the car or any other suspicious vehicles or people are asked to call 101.
