OXFORDSHIRE County Council will discuss untreated sewers going into the region's rivers at a meeting tomorrow.
A motion put forward by councillor Nick Field Johnson reads: “This Council is concerned about the widely reported over use of combined sewer overflows which should only discharge untreated sewage into our rivers in exceptional conditions. It appears that... these sewage overflows are used much more frequently."
The council leader may write to the Minister for the Environment, Thames Water's CEO and the Environment Agency.
