Police today named the baby girl who died yesterday after being recovered from the River Thames near Goring.

She is ten-month-old Monica Parsons, whose family live in Streatley.

A post-mortem examination will be held tomorrow at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

Det Sgt Alun Watkins said: "This incident is being treated as an unexplained death and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident."
