Yet again another crash on the A420....
Has any inquiry taken place yet to try and find out why this stretch of road between Swindon and Oxford has so many
Accidents?

The reason for the high accident rate on this road is because the Govt insists that HGVs drive at 40mph max on single carrigeways meaning that car drivers get fustrated and tend to overtake when it's not really safe enough.
I travel down this road twice a week in a lorry and see it all the time. I had one clown in a loaded builders van this morning weaving in and out of the lorries overtaking on double white line etc. in the pouring rain.
All this just to get to work a bit quicker!

Accidents are caused by an individual pushing certainties into the realm of chance and not knowing it - ignorance, or if they're criminal, - knowing it. Sounds like a traffic patrol or two on this stretch alone would net a constant stream of the ignorant and criminal making travelling safer for the rest of us and saving lives.
