The average advertised salary in Oxford has gone up by 2.4 per cent in the last month, according to new figures.
A survey of 6,088 job adverts published between February and July shows the average wage to be £32,605, a rise of £778.
That compares to a national average of £31,128, exclusing London, according to jobs search engine AllTheTopBananas.com.
Dave Martin, managing director of of AllTheTopBananas.com, said: "In the ten months we have been issuing our salary index, we have seen an increase in advertised salaries every month.
"It seems to indicate wages are continuing to rise, which may be contributing towards inflation currently sitting at twice the target of two per cent."
