A high-tech firm is enjoying major expansion after signing deals with major industry players.
B2M Solutions, which manufactures hand-held computers for delivery drivers and other tradesmen, has recruited eight new staff this year, taking its total workforce to 30.
And it is about to move into a bigger area of its offices at the Core business centre at Milton Hill to accommodate future growth which is expected to accelerate still further.
Managing director Julie Purves said the expansion was down to developing strong relationships with companies such as Avnet Technology Solutions, Spirit Data Capture and Blackbay which has meant its products being sold across Europe to the Middle East.
She added: "We are expecting to become a global player and hoping to be interesting for acquisition in the next three years."
B2M was formed in 2002 by Ms Purves, who used to work for logistics giant Parcelforce. She realised the need for deliveries to be made more efficient through the use of technology that was rugged and reliable.
In 2006 it won an £80,000 technology grant from the South East England Development Agency and mProdigy - a software system that manages and streamlines all aspects of mobile computing and data capture devices in an organisation, both technological and human - was developed.
Turnover at the company is expected to grow from £500,000 last year to £1.5m this year.
