'Copter hunt for wanted man

A police helicopter has been scrambled to the village of Harwell after a "wanted man" was spotted.

A total of 16 police officers and Pcsos rushed to the village at 2.50pm after they received a call.

The wanted man was allegedly spotted driving through Harwell.

Thames Valley Police have not released details of the man or what crime he is wanted in connection with.

Excellent reporting well done !!!! NOT..... who is this wanted man description the car he was driving the direction he was driving incase he is seen again !!!!!! Honestly come a poor sow !!!!!!

I saw him too, but he was difficult recognise because he had a fake beard and glasses. 4 real policemen arrived in cars with blue lights flashing, but by the time the 12 useless PCSO's arrived on their second-hand mountain bikes they were too tired to contribute to the search.

I thought that Gary Glitter was hiding in Hampshire, not in Harwell. Perhaps the plastic police scared the fugitive away with a really scarey pointy finger waved at him.

16 coppers and a helicopter. so i assume he's either a serious criminal or they've got nothing better to do.

Why not release a description as well, if it's that important then the general public may be able to help.

Ridiculous story though and a waste of column inches.
