Police say they are cracking down on anti-social behaviour in the Wantage area.
As part of Operation Marlborough, the neighbourhood policing team have been concentrating high-visibility patrols in Wantage on Friday and Saturday nights.
PC Darren James, leading the operation, said: "We have been increasing patrols in the area to help to tackle the residents' number one priority in an attempt to prevent any incidents of anti-social behaviour at the weekends.
"We are stop checking any youths seen in the area and will be seizing alcohol from anyone who is under age.
"Our high-visibility patrols in the area hopefully will act as a deterrent to any would-be offenders. I would like to reassure residents that we are working hard to keep Wantage a safer place to be."
Anyone with any information that could help the police with the operation should contact PC Darren James at Wantage police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don't want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
