Man faces hunting charge


A 51-year-old man has been charged in connection with hare coursing.

Police were called by a landowner reporting that there were hare coursers on his land on Saturday. When police arrived they found two men with four lurchers.

Patrick Nevin, from Middlessex, was charged with hunting a wild mammal with dogs and has been bailed to return to Newbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 8.

A 15-year-old boy from Middlesex was also arrested and he has been bailed to return to Newbury police station next Monday.
