The Environment Agency today placed two rivers in Oxfordshire on flood watch.
The alert was put on the catchment of the River Ray and its tributaries from near Shipton Lee to Islip, including Ludgershall, Blackthorn, Murcott, Wendlebury and Oddington.
A flood watch was also reimposed on the River Thame and Chalgrove Brook, after it had been lifted yesterday.
The alert covers the river from Marsworth to Shillingford including, Long Marston, Rowsham, Cuddington, Thame, Shabbington, Ickford, Waterperry, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard and Dorchester, and also the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
A flood watch is also in place on the River Thames from Cirencester to St Johns Lock, Lechlade.
A flood watch warning indicates that low-lying land and roads could be flooded.
Police also warned today of flooding on the A44 Woodstock Road near The Turnpike, at Yarnton. Drivers were warned to approach the area with care.
