Faringdon burglars threaten man with metal bar

Police are appealing for information after three men burgled a house in Marlborough Street, Faringdon, today.

At 12.16am, the men forced their way into the property and threatened the resident, a 27-year-old man, with a metal bar and a wooden bar.

Det Insp Kev Elkins said: “Although the men didn’t steal anything, this is a particularly distressing incident and the victim has been left shocked.

“I urge anyone who may have seen these men, or any suspicious activity in the area at the time, to contact me.”

Anyone with any information should contact Det Insp Kev Elkins at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
