Road closed after lorry hits powerlines

Drivers are being forced to take diversions this morning after a lorry hit power cables near Wallingford.

The accident happened on the A329 Thame Road in Warborough, and the road is closed both ways between Sinodun View and Holcombe Lane.

The power cables came down near the village’s Green Memorial Hall and the route will remain closed until engineers can remove the power cables from the road.
