A GRANT from the Big Lottery fund is giving young mothers in Didcot the chance of a brighter future.
Leading pro-life charity LIFE has been awarded £292,000 to finance its care and housing work throughout the UK.
This includes supporting the charity’s house in Newlands Avenue, Didcot, which provides accommodation for pregnant women and unsupported mothers with young children.
Head of housing Margaret Coward said: “In the last few years we have seen several LIFE houses, including the one in Didcot, lose local authority funding.
“So this award is especially welcome and gives the Didcot house and four of our other houses security for the next three years.”
The Big Lottery Fund is the largest distributor of National Lottery good cause funding across the UK.
