ALCESTER battled out a 2-2 draw with Chipping Campden in the second round of South Warwickshire Summer League matches.

Campden captain Geoff Vaughan and partner Ollie Coombes beat both the Alcester pairs, first Tim Kenneally and Gareth Price 6-4, 7-5 and then Will Morley-Cotterell and Matt Fielding 6-1, 7-6.

Campden’s second pair veteran Ken Dawson and Mark Jepson were unable to emulate their team-mates, going down 6-1, 7-6 to Morley-Cotterell and Fielding and then 6-3, 6-3 to Price and Coombes.

In Division One, Pershore also moved up to second after their 4-0 success over Alcester B.

Studley scored their first points of the season with a 3-1 result over Aston Cantlow.

In Division Two, Studley B with a 4-0 win over Shipston B and Campden B, held to a 2-2 draw by Whitnash, moved up to joint second.

HDA Redditch moved to third in Division Three after their 3-1 win over Henley B, while their B team in Division Four lost 3-1 to Pershore.
