THE sunshine greeted crowds as they enjoyed the seventh annual Yeah Baby!

music festival over the weekend.

Music, balloon racing and cake sales all played a part in the event, which was held in Abingdon’s Market Square in memory of Amber Phillpott, who died of cancer when she was 18 months old.

Money is raised for the four charities that helped Amber’s family after she was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer – the Amber Phillpott Trust, Helen and Douglas House hospice, Ronald McDonald House and the Oxford Children’s Hospital.

Her father James Phillpott said: “The weather was terrific and we had droves and droves of people.”

“The stage was fantastic with the Town Hall as the backdrop, lots of live music, real quality acts.”

Funds raised are still being counted but organisers predict it could hit a total of about £10,000.
