A SCHOOL has been recognised with a prestigious national award for being at the forefront of using IT to improve the work of pupils and teachers.
Rush Common Primary School has been awarded with the Naace information and communication technology (ICT) Mark, recognising its use of computers and technology to boost learning.
Assessors from Naace, the professional association for ICT workers, quizzed staff, parents and children from the school in Hendred Way, Abingdon, before deciding to award the ICT Mark.
Headteacher Laura Youngman was delighted with the award and said the pupils regularly used ICT.
She said: “We are delighted to be awarded the ICT Mark.
“The school ethos is that ICT can be used in every aspect of learning and that it ensures that the children are prepared for life in the 21st century.”
