ABINGDON Drama Club staged the world premiere of a new play.
Entitled Another Man’s Eden, the play tells the dramatic and gritty story of a day in the life of medical staff in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.
It was written by club member Tony Green and directed by Maria Crocker.
Ms Crocker said: “Being a ‘forces baby’ – my Dad served for 20 years – I fell in love with Tony’s new play the first time I read it.
“I knew straight away this would be great for ADC and that I had to direct it. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with such a talented cast on this incredible project and I know the audience will enjoy it as much as I have directing it.”
Another Man’s Eden is a fictional story based on the real experiences of those who were there. It covers a 12 hour night shift and the work of those on duty.
The play runs from September 23 to 26.
