A SPECIAL police constable based in Abingdon has been sacked after not paying for items from a training college canteen.

Thames Valley Police said he was dismissed for his conduct over an incident while he was on a course at the probationer development unit at Sulhamstead Training College near Reading from January 19 to 23.

Thames Valley Police said it found the conduct of SC Adam Fanospour breached the “standards of professional behaviour for honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct” following a public misconduct hearing.

SC Fanospour, who was based at Abingdon police station, was present at the hearing, which was held before assistant chief constable Nicola Ross at Force HQ on Wednesday.

Det Chief Supt Tim De Meyer said: “Thames Valley Police expects officers to maintain high standards of behaviour whether they are on or off duty.

“SC Fanospour’s failure to pay for items from the canteen fell way short of the standards required. His dismissal shows we will investigate misconduct thoroughly and deal with it robustly.”
