RESIDENTS can peruse progressed plans for 900 homes in Abingdon.

Housing developer CEG will put on two further public consultations after developing its plans for the estate, community facilities and public space on Green Belt land near Tilsley Park.

It unveiled proposals during initial consultation sessions in July, and will welcome residents on Tuesday at North East Abingdon Community Centre, from 5.30pm until 8pm, and October 1 from 11am-4pm at Trinity Church.

The site is allocated for development in Vale of White Horse District Council's Local Plan.

Iain Macsween, head of projects at CEG Midlands, said: “Following our last exhibitions when more than 1,000 people attended and over 300 provided written feedback on our proposals, CEG is giving residents another opportunity to have their say on our scheme.

"We have spent the summer reviewing the comments we received and have used this feedback to inform our evolving proposals.

“These public exhibitions are part of our ongoing programme of engagement with the local community and we are hoping for a similar level of interest this time around.

"We look forward to working closely with local stakeholders as we continue to develop these plans over the coming months.”
