THE HALLS of historic Abingdon Abbey were decked for the festive season last weekend at the Crafts and Gifts for Christmas Show - with a couple of unexpected guests making an appearance.
Stalls stuffed with handmade goods including jewellery, handbags, clothing, soaps and pottery filled the medieval abbey buildings.
The fair included surprise entertainment in the form of celebrity impersonators Sue Bradbury as Patsy Stone of Absolutely Fabulous and Melo Sparrow dressed as Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer was also present, keeping with the Christmas theme.
The show will continue today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm at the abbey in Checker Walk.
The fair was promoted by the Shop For Something Different organisation, promising unique gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
A portion of every £2.50 ticket fee went towards supporting Sobell House Hospice.
The Oxford Mail continues to fundraise for Sobell House as well, as we appeal online for our goal of £40,000 to pay for 100 days of care at the home which has supported so many in our communities.
