A DISNEY classic was reinvented for a school pantomime with an all-staff cast.

Fitzharrys School in Abingdon staged a panto called Snow White and the Seven Vertically Challenged People - a politically correct twist on the tale of seven dwarfs.

Headteacher Jonathan Dennett, who played Dopey, said: “There has been a great buzz about the school since, with the children delighted to discover staff’s hidden talents.

“The arts and creativity run throughout our school, not just for students but also for staff. It was a wonderful way to bring the community together - I think we’ve started a new school tradition.”

The panto was written and directed by drama teacher Maurey Lancaster, who said she was ‘thrilled’ by the cast’s performance.

English teacher Katy Brooke-Bullard, who starred as Snow White, said it was ‘only fair’ staff embraced their own ethos of encouraging students to be creative.
