A SIZZLING time is promised at Millet Farm’s inaugural Chilli Fiesta.

The popular garden centre, animal farm and farm shop in Frilford is inviting chilli growers from around the UK to exhibit at the event on September 1-2, and is daring people to come along and sample their wares – and even become chilli growers themselves.

Events manager Karen Bloomfield said: “We have growers from all over.

“There will be 20 varieties of chilli plants available to sample and buy, so however brave you are, there will be one to suit your taste.”

She added: “We will also have a Mexican band, live cooking demonstrations, games and the chance to wear a sombrero.”

The free Chilli Fiesta event will be located under the covered walkway between the Farm Shop and Garden Centre from 10am-4.30pm.

I went last year. It was good but there wasn’t much on offer for a festival. The cooking demonstration was very small and there were only a few chilli based products on sale, although plenty of plants. I will go again, hopefully be a bit bigger this year??
