A LANDLORD and landlady are hanging up their bar towels after 20 years running a village pub near Didcot.

Sandra Brown, 58, and husband Melvyn, 65, took on The Plough in Long Wittenham after moving to the village from London. They will move to Somerset after Christmas, but say they will never forget their loyal customers.

The pub will remain open and a hunt for a new landlord will start in the new year.

I will try to visit this pub before they leave. No doubt this Christmas will be a very jolly and memorable time.

Best wishes to MR and MRS BROWN.

Bottoms up; in the best posible taste!

Good bye to the Brown Family, I wish them well in their long awaited retirement, the pub just won't be the same without them.
Welcome to the Carberry Family, wishing you all every success in your new business and look forward to raising a glass or two with you on 13 November!
