GP suspended after patient complaints
6:00pm Wednesday 16th January 2013 in Didcot
A DIDCOT doctor has been suspended by the Medical Practitioners' Tribunal following complaints from patients.
Dr Peter Rubin, formerly of Woodlands Medical Practice, Woodlands Road, has had his licence suspended from the medical register for 18 months and may not practise as a doctor while the investigation against him proceeds.
Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust said the practice received two serious patient complaints in August 2012 and alerted the PCT.
The GMC, the trust and the surgery refused to reveal details of the accusations.
PCT spokeswoman Rachel McQuilliam said following an investigation it referred the case to the GMC.
Practice manager Ann Sadler said: “We cannot comment on the surroundings of Dr Rubin’s departure, however patients at the surgery have been supportive of him.”
