Student halls evacuated after fire
STUDENTS had to be evacuated from their halls of residents after a small fire in a hallway.
They had to leave the Highfield block near the Avenue at 2.53am after smoke alarms sounded.
By the time crews from St Mary's Fire Station arrived the fire was out and no-one was injured.
A fire investigation has been launched.
