IT was all a blur for three-year-old Freya Lewis at Didcot Cornerstone’s latest exhibition.

Freya and her mum Kath visited the showcase of iron sculptures inspired by the world of steam.

The Bullpen: Industry to Art invited UK sculptors passionate about iron casting to forge works inspired by steam engine parts.

Mrs Lewis, 39, from Didcot’s Ladygrove estate, said: “Freya finds the cogs and wheels really interesting. They are so tactile, it’s hard not to touch them.”

Artists were asked to respond to an exploration of engine parts and old foundry patterns at the Swindon STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway.

The free show at the Station Road centre opened on Thursday and will run until Sunday, November 9.
