A STUNTMAN taught youngsters how to punch, slap and drag each other by the hair without actually hurting each other.

Dean Forster, who has worked on films and TV shows including Game of Thrones and Mission: Impossible, held a workshop at St Birinus School in Didcot yesterday.

He showed about 50 young actors how to choreograph a theatrical fight and spoke about his work. The skills will be used to create a bar fight scene in a performance of Guys and Dolls, a joint production by St Birinus and Didcot Girls’ School in February next year.

Mr Forster, 47, from Berinsfield, said: “They were quite shocked at some of the stuff I was showing them, like faking punches.”

Director Caroline Seed said: “It’s quite difficult to choreograph a fight scene, especially when you have masses of kids, so it was helpful having Dean there to help put it together.

“They’ve been rehearsing very hard so it was a very fun thing for them to do.”
