THREE properties in Chinnor were broken into where shotguns, wedding rings and high value items were stolen last Friday, police said today. 

Officers said it happened between 7.45am and 3.45pm last Friday after a glass panel was smashed on the kitchen door.

A number of shotguns, an air rifle and a blue handbag containing shooting vests, ear defenders and shotgun certificates were stolen along with an Omega Constellation wrist watch, a pocket watch and a Rolex GMT Master Wrist watch.

A second property on Station Road was broken into between 5.30pm and 8.45pm at Station Road where wedding and engagements rings, two Royal Doulton figurines and a box of After Eight chocolates were taken after offenders smashed a conservatory door to gain entry.

Police said nothing was stolen in the third burglary on Aston Rowant which happened between 8.40am and 6.40pm the same day. 

Officers believe the three burglaries are linked.
