DIDCOT and South Oxfordshire residents are invited to learn new skills, join a new team or take up a hobby at a clubs and societies day in the town.

Commerce and community group Didcot First will hold the latest in a series of free events at Didcot Civic Hall, Britwell Road, on Sunday, September 13.

The session, which will run from 10am to 2pm, will host a taster of approximately 40 local clubs, groups and societies.

and An array of “exciting demonstrations” have been promised to be spread across the main stage in the hall, on the grassed areas located outside, as well as on the exhibiting tables.

The organisation’s Emma East said: “With the town growing steadily over the last few years, we hope to attract as many new and existing residents of all ages from around Didcot area to come along and see the fabulous and diverse activities happening in their home town.

“We have music and dance sessions planned for the stage and plenty of sports clubs and outside pursuits happening to provide the general public with a taster on what they’d like to take up as a new hobby before they decide to join.”
