FAMILY and friends of Jayden Parkinson will gather in Didcot on Saturday to mark what should have been her 19th birthday.
It will be the second year a memorial and fundraiser has been held at The Wheatsheaf pub in Wantage Road.
Jayden was killed by her ex-boyfriend Ben Blakeley in a field south of Didcot in December 2013 when she was 17 years old.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison.
Her mum Sam Shrewsbury organised the first memorial event last year to help raise funds for the domestic abuse charity Jayden’s Gift, which she helped set up to give extra support for victims.
There will be live music from acts such as All The Clever Lines and Natalia Figueiredo as well as a barbecue, hair-braiding and a raffle featuring a half-hour flying lesson as the top prize.
All donations on the day, which starts at midday, will go towards Jayden’s Gift.
Miss Shrewsbury said: “I would like to say thank you to everybody who will turn up on Saturday and thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past.
“There is no entrance fee, just rock up and have a good time.”
